Michael is a lifelong resident of Tangipahoa Parish.  He graduated cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in history and government.  While at Southeastern, he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, as well as Phi Kappa Phi, Gamma Sigma Alpha and Order of Omega honor societies.  He was the recipient of the Lieu Award for excellence in his major in 1999.  Michael obtained his Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law in 2002 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.

The focus of Michael's practice has been all areas of business representation, including: business entity formation; contract negotiations and drafting; employee relations; litigation; alternative dispute resolution; and mergers and acquisitions.  Michael has represented a range of business interests, from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies, as well as state agencies and municipalities. His litigation experience has included issues such as workers' compensation defense, general liability, mass and toxic torts, debt collection, contract disputes and employee/civil rights claims.  In addition to his business law practice, Michael also has experience representing individual clients in matters ranging from estate planning to personal injury representation and criminal defense.

Michael attends Grace Memorial Episcopal Church.  He enjoys volunteer work and has worked with organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and the Ginger Ford Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.  He is a former member of the school board at his alma mater, St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School.  Currently, he is a member of the adjunct faculty at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he teaches courses in business law.
